Finally!
It has been a while since we have updated the home page and a lot has happened this past month. First congratulations to our first 60 Cruciform for a job well done. Myself and Brakefield have also reached this milestone this past month as well.
New Members
We have welcomed several new members to the AGL family, so many that I can’t name them all without a lot of help. Last night we added a new 60 Rogue PJR and he has hit the ground running and is making a great contribution in our Big Four Instance runs. Welcome to all new members and i hope you will enjoy your time with us here at AGL.
Officer Promotions
These guys have showed great attitude and loyalty to the guild and I feel that this is well deserved.
Cyndine has been promoted to Player 2
Cyndine re-rolled a mage at the guild’s request and has rocketed back to mid 50’s. He has also been there with AGL from the beginning and we are happy that he is with us. He has the cool head and provides grea... {read on}

Where are you in the Chain?

This weekend Kitten hit 57 and brake hit 56. WoW, just WoW. That means Leader of the Pack will be front and center, and we are going to start running the big 4. A BRD run will be made one day this week. And i want to see the inside of Strat even if it kills me.
I see the majority of ppl are in the high 40's early 50's. These are great lvls'. You should be finishing up ZF, and cleaning up Mara.
For end game enchants, you might want to be visiting the Blasted Lands and start on the collection quests for your big raid buff pots. For example, when you complete "a boar's vitality" you get a SOULBOUND pot (lung juice cocktail) that will increase your HP by 500. You can use this pot to enchant legs or head with 100hp, or you can use it for a 1 hour buff. Use the +int pot to enchant leg or head with 150 mana, or an hour long buff. These quests are repeatable and have quests for just about every stat you can think of: str, agi, int, ect.

A few changes

I can see it. It's a flaming red light @ the end of the tunnel and we are almost there. Kitten has 3 bars til 55, and that my friends, is where some of the rules change.
Our instances are about to go from 5 man to 10 or more. Our gear goes from disposable to irreplaceable. Start banking enchanting mats for your end game gear enchants. And start banking the mats for all your epic gear you are going to craft.
The biggest difference you will see up front is the number of ppl in a party. While the numbers are different the equation stays the same. We still have a tank, a healer, and DPS. What will be different is how many crowd controls go off @ once so watch your AoE and procs. Another thing that is different is where the heals are directed. A tank prior to 55 gets 50-75% of all the healing. This is increased to 95% and the DPS is going to have to become self-sufficient. No Cloth tanking. No leather off tanking. (One run of DM will show you that. 1 shot and casters/rogues are dead.) Start keeping bandages on-hand and up your First aid to 300!
*If you need cloth for First Aid let Kitten or Brake know.
Another thing we are going to put into effect is a Charity night. Tuesday nights are going to be devoted to helping the lower lvl guild members. Guild members that need to run WC, SM, SFK, etc... should have all their quests ready and post to the forum what they want ran and what time. Any run that gets posted will have priority over those ju... {read on}

Pre 40 ZF

I haven't changed this in a while, so here goes...
First off Grats to Brake who is the proud father of twin boys. (i see a lot of diaper changes in your future.)
Second we have recruited a new Healer, me. That means we need to find a tank, stop lvling (so the Wars can catch up), OR we recruit a healer. I'm all for the latter. I respecced to get swift-shifting so when i get low on mana i can shift to bear for very little cost. So a heads up, if you see a fatty healing for 90+ seconds (tops) then stomp then turn into a bear, don't expect that big heal i like to use. I'm OOM.
Instance runs, yeah! I really enjoyed the ZF run last night with the lvl 38 War with us. Props to Lithra, any and all pre-40, for walking in there and not wiping immediately. This run was a ton of fun and ALL who participated got exp. I'm all for doing this every night til these guys catch up. After that, is Mara, but i have pioneered ahead and gotten the staff for princess runs. If we want to do a FULL Mara run we need to set time aside for that. Mara is one of the longest instances out there for a 5 man. We can raid this instance though if we just want the gear.
Lastly, my old guild, Pantheon, downed Nefarian this past week. He is the last guy in BWL. I will have to drop agamerslife for a day to see how they did it. BWL was a mystery when i joined this server, and those guys are a wealth of knowledge.
This week's homework is to max your professions if you are over 35. I have easily made my money back having maxed my professions before the rest of the server. Bank Mooncloth and Arcanite, we will be needing it soon.

Holiday Guild Runs

Grats on hitting 40 my friends. And grats on running 2 simultaneous instance runs; a guild first!
This week we will be attempting a 4 man RFD run and a Uldaman run. We will also run SM Armory/Cath for the shammies to bank some mail for when they hit 40.
Also this week we will run Mark through a few lower instances to top off his Mage. And we plan on running a full raid through the Cath for this weeks Raid practice.
Do not hesitate to gather other guildies and strangers alike to run anything that you might need done this week, and the next few weeks to come. This week is a holiday week for most of us so our time and numbers might be limited. So don't be afraid to PuG it up.
This weeks homework is to start saving for a mount and keep your eyes out for a resto druid or priest. Brake has twins coming in 7 weeks and we are about to be short a healer.

Guild Plans for This Week 12-5-5
Category: Game: World of Warcraft Scribed by Justin

We have a few new members as of this week, and they are about our lvl. The plan is to run RFK in the south Barrens until we all hit around lvl 35-37. We also need to plan a 5 man through Gnomer so all our leather wearers can have new blue pants. So if you haven't spoken to the Engineer Trainer in OG and picked up the quest Rig Wars, then try to do so this week. A side quest to this unlocks a teleport from Booty Bay to Gnomer so we don't have to run by Ironforge. (This will be a requirement for the Gnomer run.) The teleport quest is easy, just talk to the guy next to the Eng Trainer after picking up Rig Wars, and he will ask you to talk to Scotty in Booty Bay. Mission Accomplished.
We want to organize our first Raid sometime in the next week or so. We are going to Raid Scarlet Monastery. For those who do not know, a raid is a party larger than 5 people. When a party is converted to a Raid all exp is cut in half, but allows a team larger than 5 to enter an instance. It also nullifies any quests that you might be trying to complete.
So what is the benefit? Why do we want to cut our exp in half? By lvl 50+ most of your instances will be Raid instances. End game instances will require 20-40 ppl to complete. The sooner we learn to roll in numbers greater than 5 the easier our end game raids will become. As you all have seen, we work well in a 5 man team. I want a smooth transition from party to Raid when that time comes. Another perk is the same gear d... {read on}

a guild called agamerslife

Well there is a new server out, and like WAY too many ppl i hopped onboard. The server is Agamaggan and it is PvP. I'm rolling a new toon to 60, but this time I'm going Horde. (all of this of coarse was on my last post, but none of you read this shit anyway.)
I have my druid up to lvl 26 and have my new roommate Greg (shaman), and my boss Brake (priest) rolling with me. Along the way we picked up 2 brothers that play a pair of rogues. So far it has been cake. Greg and I ran Wailing Caverns last night with just the 2 of us.
As far as guilds go i have 9 of the 10 signatures that I need. So far everyone that has signed up has previous experience on another server. I'm hoping one of my readers will login and whisper Feralkitten in-game so we can have the agamerslife tag over our heads when we sodomize the Alliance over in contested territory.
In guild news....
The bank is established. We have a pair of blue mail boots saved for whoever is going to tank the most often AND we have half a dozen enchanting recipes for whoever wants to bite the bullet, take one for the team, and be the guild enchanter. Also we are taking donations of Perfect Deviate Scales for blue belts for our leather wearers. Also two pair of toughened leather gloves have been made and we just need 4 spider silk to make another 2 pair. Free rare gear FTW!
As far as a game plan goes we are discussing a tentative schedule for our runs. Monday night will probably be open since we have trivia @ the bar. Tuesdays-Thursdays are good for instance runs as are Saturday a... {read on}

The Move

Hola. It has been like a month since i updated. This makes me a horrible person, and more than likely i'm going to hell for it. (just kidding; there is no hell) I have had a series of events happen, and i'm going to share them with you.
First and foremost, i got a new house. I didn't buy a house; i rather moved into a house with a friend of mine. His name is Greg. His brother Jim also lives there with 2 cats. Now it's 3 guys and 3 cats. No more living in a basement for me. (My computer is actually next to a window to the outside world.) This sweet bachelor pad is 2 stories tall and has a basement garage for garage parties. There are hardwood floors throughout and we even have a restaurant style booth to eat in the kitchen. (like guys ever do that) We are having a New Years Eve party here so plan ahead!
Secondly i have grown a beard. Not a "i'm in high school and it looks like my face is dirty" beard, and not a thin line framing my face like some hipster on Mtv beard. This is a "i like going outside alot, cause i'm an outdoorsman/hippy beard." The demographic on it is different than i'm used to. Most of the younger chicks don't really dig it, though the older ones do. I'll let you know how that all works out.
Also Robert Jordan's new book is out. I spent a week or so reading this, i have to admit i liked the book. After book 6 i have been bored with the series. I'm glad he stepped up and finally wrote something that advanced the story. Rand, the main character, didn't have a lot goi... {read on}

My 2 Raid Cents
Category: Game: World of Warcraft Scribed by Justin

Once you hit 60 there is a ton of stuff to do. If you want the best PvE gear though you got to Raid. Now that I'm in a Raiding guild I'm collecting epics like other ppl collect blues, but you have to Raid/farm the end game instances for great drops. MC and BWL drop the best gear obviously, but the newly introduced ZG is a good stepping stone for guilds not experienced enough for MC. This is a guideline for pre-MC guilds to get their Raids together.
First off, there needs to be a designated time and place for the guild to get together. Most Raid guilds run MC on Saturday about the same time every week. Plan a Raid during a time when you know you can have the most guild participation, whenever that may be; and stick to it. Also plan this in advance by using a sign-up. This brings me to my second point.
Organize the sign-up. Every Raid needs balance. (20 hunts can't run ZG, I'm sorry.) Have your signup with a predetermined amount of healers, tanks, and DPS. Certain roles HAVE to be in place (MT, MT's healer...), and the rest of the raid can be fleshed out using random DPS. Post this sign-up and its requirements on the guild website and keep it up to date. If your guild doesn't have a website use any public forum (like the one on this site) and let everyone in the guild know about it. Have the forum site be in your guild message of the day so everyone knows about it. You could even go so far as only taking the ppl who signed up ahead of time, to insure that the raid stays organized.
Farm like you're from Kansas. ZG is full of mobs that deal nature damage. So send a few ppl out to farm for all the elemental earth you can. Elemental Earth = Nature protection pots. Same goes for MC. Elemental Fire = Fire protection pots. All your healers need mana pots. Farm those. All your DPS will need to be able to heal themselves. Farm for bandages and healing pots. Warlocks can conjure Health stones for Raid members, so farm for shards.... {read on}
